Tornado, 2011

The tornado has over 500 feet of fabric swirling around it, is over 10 feet tall and actually rotated for the opening! Each leaf was hand-painted and stained and the wallpaper hand-stenciled. This installation was partially funded by a kickstarter campaign and one of the rewards was the option to send me an object for the tornado. This was one of my favorite aspects of this piece and the stories I received with the objects are still of great meaning to me.
